Warehouse clearance: half price until the shelves are empty. Free UPS shipping.

I'm moving to a bigger warehouse. Every last pair has to go first.

For 23 years I've made socks in the Norwegian patterns I grew up with, right here in the Hudson Valley. My little stockroom is full to the ceiling, and hauling hundreds of boxes to the new place makes no sense. So I'm clearing them out at half price.

A note from Astrid, written at her kitchen table in the Hudson Valley

Why I'm letting every pair go at half price

I grew up in [PLACEHOLDER: Norwegian town, e.g. Voss], where nobody left the house in winter without wool on their feet. My grandmother kept a drawer full of patterned socks. Snowflakes, little crosses, zigzags. One pair for every cold morning.

When I moved to the Hudson Valley 23 years ago, I missed those socks more than I ever expected. The ones in the stores here were thin and plain, and they gave up before the winter did.

So I started having my own made. The old Norwegian patterns, thick enough for a cold kitchen floor at six in the morning. First just for me. Then for my neighbors. Then for their friends, and their friends' friends.

Now the stockroom is bursting, and I'm moving into a bigger warehouse. Every box I carry over costs me trucks, time and space. I would much rather those socks keep your feet warm this winter.

So until the shelves are empty, everything goes for half of what it normally costs.

Why the price is cut in half, honestly

This isn't a holiday gimmick. It's simple math for a small business that's about to move.

Moving boxes costs money

Every box that goes on a truck to the new warehouse costs me more than I'd earn keeping it. Selling it to you now at half price is the better deal for both of us.

Socks belong on feet

I'd rather these patterns spend this winter on your porch, under your blanket and inside your boots than on a pallet in a truck.

When it's gone, it's gone

There's no end date on the calendar. The clearance ends the moment the last set leaves the shelf.

Five patterns in every set

Each set comes with all five designs, straight from the Norwegian knitting tradition. Wear a different one every day of the work week.

Selbu Star pattern

Selbu Star

The eight-point star every Norwegian grandmother knows by heart.

Lingonberry pattern

Lingonberry

Deep berry red with little crosses, like the jam jars on my grandmother's shelf.

Hearth pattern

Hearth

Warm coral and gold stripes, the color of a fire you don't want to leave.

Fjord Mint pattern

Fjord Mint

Cool mint and snowflakes, for the first frosty morning of the year.

Birch pattern

Birch

Soft cream with a purple band. The one my friends always ask about.

Close-up of the thick wool knit

Made with wool, the Nordic way

In Norway, a sock has one job: keep you warm from October to April. That's how I still have them made.

  • Real wool in every pairA wool blend that holds its shape and keeps its warmth wash after wash. [PLACEHOLDER: exact composition from supplier, e.g. 40% wool, 30% acrylic, 28% polyester, 2% elastane]
  • Thick, cushioned footWarm on bare wooden floors, tiled kitchens and cold porch steps.
  • A cuff that stays upThe ribbed top holds without squeezing or leaving marks on your calves.
  • Patterns that don't fadeThe colors are knit into the sock, not printed on it.
  • One size for most women[PLACEHOLDER: size range, e.g. fits women's US shoe size 5 to 10]

From women who already have cold feet covered

★★★★★

My feet are always ice cold, even in the house with the heat on. I put on the red pair the day they arrived and didn't take them off until bedtime. Already ordered a second bundle for my sisters.

These remind me of the socks my mother knit when I was a girl in Minnesota. Thick, warm and the colors are just as pretty as the pictures.

I bought the 5 sets for Christmas gifts. Kept one set for myself, of course. At this price I didn't have to think twice.

Shipping was quick, they came in about 5 days. They fit nicely in my winter boots without being too tight. The cream one with the purple band is my favorite.

Patricia W., Bend, OR
★★★★☆

Very warm and well made. A bit snug at first on my wide feet, but they loosened up after one wear. Would buy again.

I read Astrid's story and had to support her. So glad I did. My husband keeps stealing the blue pair.

Questions I get asked

Why are they half price?

I'm moving into a bigger warehouse, and moving every box costs more than selling it to you now. The clearance lasts until the current stock is gone.

What are they made of?

A warm wool blend, knit the Nordic way. [PLACEHOLDER: exact composition from supplier]

What size are they?

[PLACEHOLDER: size range, e.g. one size, fits women's US shoe size 5 to 10.]

How long does shipping take?

Every order ships free with UPS. [PLACEHOLDER: processing and delivery time, e.g. most orders arrive within 5 to 8 business days.]

How do I wash them?

Turn them inside out and wash cold on a gentle cycle. Lay them flat to dry. Skip the dryer and the fabric softener, and they'll keep their shape for many winters.

Do they make a good gift?

They're one of the most popular gifts I sell. The bundles are the easiest way to cover everyone on your list at once.

Will you still be around after the move?

Absolutely. The move is happening because we've grown, not because we're closing. Your 30-day money-back guarantee stays exactly the same.

P.S. My favorite is the Birch pattern. When a bundle sells out, I can't promise it'll come back to the new warehouse.
